Some of you might not think that time management is important.
But for a student the first very important thing is to learn Time Management. Those who know how to manage time can live their dreams in reality.

TIME MANAGEMENT
Time management refers to the judicious use of time spent on a task to accomplish the objectives. Basically it is a process planning and exercising control over the amount of time spent on specific activities to increase the productivity. It makes you to focus on the best ways for jobs to be performed to maximize the work completed in a given amount of time. Successful time management allows for more control over personal accomplishments, more productivity at home and work, and results in more quality time to relax and enjoy life.
IMPORTANCE OF TIME MANAGEMENT
Poor time management can be related to procrastination as well as problems with self-control. Time Management plays a pivotal role in one’s LIFE. It makes an individual punctual, disciplined and more organized. Effective Time Management also boosts an individual’s morale and makes him confident. Individuals who stick to a time plan are the ones who realize their goals and objectives within the shortest possible time span. It resolves him to prioritize tasks and activities at workplace and helps him in better planning and eventually better forecasting. Finishing the work on time gives you ample of time for your friends, relatives and family members which keeps you away from stress and anxiety. The constructive use of time is beneficial in any aspect of life.
TIME MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES
Make a clear list of all your short-term and long-term goals to differentiate between what’s important and what’s not. This will eliminate all unnecessary time killing tasks. By this you will get a vision about your goals, so that you can plan and prepare a sequence of action steps to achieve them.
Give five to ten minutes to plan your activities for the day Write out your tasks somewhere and break down large or complex tasks into smaller pieces to focus on one at a time. After completing the tasks cross them off. Prioritize the tasks on your list and figure out what is most important, as well as most urgent. Procrastination is chronic problem that is a major obstacle to success. Avoid procrastinating and just do.
Maintain a time log to track your daily activities and how much time each takes. This will let you know about the interruptions. Also record what your energy levels and focus are like at different times of the day.
Take regular breaks to keep your mind fresh and return to your work with better focus.
Stick to allotted break times. This technique is a way of increasing your focus and efficiency.
Delegate less important tasks, or tasks that would be better performed by someone else if possible, as you cannot do everything by yourself.
The extremely important thing is to learn to say no so you can’t say yes to everything and accede to every request. You have to stick to what’s important and know when to just say, ‘No’.
